Art, Food and Abraham Lincoln in Central Illinois
Saturday, June 1, 2013 the Taylorville Area Arts Council sponsors its Annual Art Fair on the Historic Taylorville Courthouse Lawn. This is a Juried Art Fair in which known and unknown artists display and sell their works and are judged. You may wish to browse and purchase watercolors, pottery, wood works, painted glass, jewelry, professional landscape photography and much more from the artists who come to display for you. There is usually music and The Farmer’s Market happens concurrently on the East Side of the Historic Taylorville Square. Get to town early and meet the Clock Master at 7:30 AM at the South Door of the Courthouse and take a “Behind the Scenes” tour of the County Courthouse Clock and Bell Tower. See the restored art glass dome from both sides and have a “Birds Eye” view of Taylorville, IL, where Abraham Lincoln practiced law.
